Ranked ABOVE Chicago as one of the best places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Cleveland has everything you could want and more. To start, Cleveland is home to the oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Ohio and one of the largest in the country. Right around 10,000 people are expected to attend the parade this year and overall, an astonishing 500,000 people are estimated to make it out to celebrate the day. So have no fear about finding friends to go out with, because you will have half a million to choose from! If you’re looking for the truest Irish experience, venture over to the west side of Cleveland for the most concentrated population of Irish celebrations. Stop in at The Harp on Detroit Avenue and be ready to party. Fill up with their breakfast that is served from 8am-10am, because after that it’s time to switch to party mode. With a heated tent outside and live music starting around 9pm, you’ll be in good company with other green-touting friends. Oh, you’re bored with this bar? That’s ok, because you have about 5 others to choose from within walking distance. So come early, leave late and dust off that green “Kiss me, I’m Irish” shirt because the last thing you want is to be pinched by half a million people.
